Our team has constructed many different types of animal models for preclinical drug efficacy evaluation, providing immunological and inflammatory disease-related animal models for different targets or pathways. We can also provide customized modeling services to develop suitable animal models and in vivo pharmacodynamic study for our clients.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a long course and a tendency to relapse. Clinical manifestations are characterized by infiltration, erythema, and scaling, which can occur throughout the body, and are more common on the scalp and extensor sides of the limbs.

Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) is an autoimmune disease mediated by specifically sensitized CD4+ T cells and characterized by the presence of MC infiltration around small blood vessels and myelin sheath loss within the CNS, and its pathological changes are similar to those of MS.

Systemic lupus erythematosus

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune-mediated, diffuse connective tissue disease characterized by immune inflammation. The exact cause of the disease is unknown, but may be related to genetics, environmental factors and estrogen. Symptoms are varied and often include fever, photosensitivity, rash, enlarged lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, headaches, and fatigue et al.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that is based on synovitis and may eventually lead to joint deformities. Its etiology is still being explored, but studies suggest that it may be closely related to autoimmunity, genetics, and microbial infections. Clinical manifestations are mainly joint lesions, with morning stiffness, swelling and pain in the joints, which may develop into joint deformities as the disease progresses, affecting the normal joint function of the patient. Some patients may also show systemic symptoms, such as fever, fatigue and weakness.

Respiratory inflammation

Respiratory inflammation refers to the inflammatory process that affects different parts of the respiratory tract, including the nasal cavity, pharynx, trachea, bronchi and lung. Common respiratory inflammatory diseases include: upper respiratory tract infection, ‌ trachea and bronchitis ‌, asthma, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, etc.

Gout

Gout, a disease caused by excessive deposition of uric acid, can occur in all age groups. High uric acid levels and deposition of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals are the main causes of gout attacks.

Acute inflammation

Inflammation serves as one of the important mechanisms of the body's immune response, and inflammatory animal models are used to assess the role that the inflammatory response plays in the disease process.

Delayed type hypersensitivity

Delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) is an inflammatory response caused by Macrophages, in which T cells are sensitized after exposure to the corresponding antigen and are activated when continuously exposed or re-exposed to the same antigen.

Atopic dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by systemic inflammation, persistent itching, and recurrent episodes of redness, cracking, and/or dryness of the skin. It usually begins in early childhood and presents clinically as recurrent eczematous lesions.

Inflammatory bowel disease

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a class of chronic, idiopathic gastrointestinal intractable diseases, involving the ileum, rectum and colon. clinical manifestations of IBD includes diarrhea, abdominal pain, and even bloody stools. IBD usually can divide into two subtypes as ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD).

Scleroderma

Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease characterized by skin inflammation, degeneration, thickening and fibrosis, followed by hardening and atrophy, which can cause damage to multiple systems. The systemic sclerosis not only involves degenerative changes in the skin, synovium, and arteries of fingers (toes), but also can affect internal organs such as the digestive tract, lung, heart, and kidney.

Vitiligo

Vitiligo is an autoimmune skin disease characterized by localized or generalized loss of pigmentation. It is mainly caused by the reduction in the number of melanocytes or the loss of their function. The skin depigmentation is caused by the selective loss of melanocytes.
