Systemic lupus erythematosus

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune-mediated, diffuse connective tissue disease characterized by immune inflammation. The exact cause of the disease is unknown, but may be related to genetics, environmental factors and estrogen. Symptoms are varied and often include fever, photosensitivity, rash, enlarged lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, headaches, and fatigue et al.

Clinical features
  • The patient's body produces large amounts of autoantibodies, causing the immune system to attack its own tissues;

  • Multiple organ and tissue involvement throughout the body.

  • dsDNA content within plasma

  • Urine protein

  • Lymphadenectasis

  • Kidney histopathological examination, etc
