hGEMM tumor model
According to the requirements of clients' projects, CIR Biopharma provides various humanized genetically engineered mouse models (hGEMM) to test the efficacy of corresponding drugs. The hGEMM tumor model has been successfully applied to validate potential tumor genes and drug targets, identify pharmacodynamic markers of drug-drug interactions, detect toxicity, and evaluate safety. Gene editing technology can be used to obtain three types of gene modification models: knockout, knock-in and gene overexpression. hGEMM models have been proved to be an effective tool for oncology research due to their unique advantages. As an oncology research tool, hGEMM model can better simulate the histopathological and molecular characteristics of human tumors, which is manifested by better genetic heterogeneity, and the advantage is that it can reflect the tumor cells themselves, as well as cellular interactions in the microenvironment of the tumor, including the ability to cause the primary tumor to begin to form and to develop into metastatic disease. The establishment and application of hGEMM tumor models have greatly contributed to the development and progress of oncology research.
